What this is

Two things, and it is worth keeping them apart.

The first is a set of guides about what happens after a car accident: deadlines, insurance, crash reports, what an adjuster is doing when they call. Free to read, sourced, and useful whether or not you ever hire anyone.

The second is a bridge. If you decide you want an attorney, you answer some questions about the crash and we pass what you tell us to attorneys who take cases like yours in your state. You are never obliged to hire anybody, and we will tell you when we cannot help.

What this is not

We are not a law firm. We do not employ attorneys, we do not review cases, we do not give legal advice and nothing here creates an attorney-client relationship. We are an advertising service, which is a specific thing with rules attached, and we would rather say it plainly than bury it.

How the money works

Attorneys pay us. Readers do not, and never will. That arrangement pays for the guides, and it is also the reason to be sceptical of us, so the full version is set out on how we make money, including what payment does not buy: our directory is ordered alphabetically and nobody can pay to move up it.

What happens to what you type

If you complete a case request, the details go to attorneys who may contact you about it. That is the entire point of the form and we say so on it. We do not sell reading behavior, and the pages you read carry no forms at all.

Who writes it

Nobody here is an attorney, and no attorney reviews what we publish. Our reasoning, and the rules that replace a reviewer, are on editorial policy. Every page names its author, and those profiles are on who writes here.
